ANNOUNCER: Winter's upon us, and our celebrity style team shows us the latest accessories.

JENNIFER: And you won't believe what's hot for the winter.

ANNOUNCER: And the latest trends in hair and makeup. Celebrity designer Korto Momolu brings the hottest fashions to the My Black Is Beautiful runway. Plus, for the first time, we are revealing the new, just-selected faces of the My Black Is Beautiful model search. All this and more on the My Black Is Beautiful fashion finale.

SINGER: Beautiful to me. Beautiful. Oh, yeah. Beautiful, beautiful. Oh, yeah. Ohh, beautiful to me. Oh, yeah.

[APPLAUSE]

ANNOUNCER: And now please welcome your host Vanessa Williams...

SINGER: Beautiful, beautiful.

ANNOUNCER: Alesha Renee.

SINGER: Beautiful.

ANNOUNCER: And Kim Coles.

SINGER: Beautiful, beautiful.

KIM: Well now. Welcome to the season finale of My Black Is Beautiful. Time really does fly, doesn't it, when you're having a whole lot of fun. And I can't believe that this season is already coming to an end. Throughout this season, we have taken on the great hair debate—to weave or not to weave...

VANESSA: Hello.

KIM: We showed you how to look like a million dollars on a dime. And we schooled you on the new rules of today's dating game.

VANESSA: And, Kim, don't forget about our wonderful "Show Me the Money" makeovers. With our tips, those lovely ladies will be climbing up the corporate ladder in record time.

KIM: That's right.

ALESHA: Exactly. Now we've shared a lot of beauty secrets, and we've learned a few important ones ourselves. Now who knew that you could actually bake a great-tasting sweet potato pie, and it could be good for you? Mm-mm.

KIM: I did.

VANESSA & KIM: (laughter)

ALESHA: But even that's not as exciting as what we have planned to close out this season with the ultimate fashion finale.

VANESSA: That's right. Our next guest designs sizzling styles that will heat up any winter. Digging her fashion claws into catwalks around the world, please welcome former Project Runway contestant designer Korto Momolu. Korto, come on out here, girl.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

KIM: Yes!

WOMAN: We've been waiting for you.

KIM: Yes! Whoo-hoo!

VANESSA: Sashay, shante.

[LAUGHTER]

VANESSA: Wow. Sexy lady.

KORTO: Thanks for having me. I try.

[LAUGHTER]

KIM: It's a real honor to have you here. I was such a fan of you on the show. I'm such a fan of your work.

KORTO: Thank you so much.

KIM: And your personal style as well is just so you.

KORTO: I appreciate it.

KIM: It's so my black is beautiful.

KORTO: Yes. You know, I keep us in mind.

KIM: That's right.

KORTO: Curvy girls want to look cute too.

KIM: So let's talk about the winter trends. What are your favorite winter trends?

KORTO: I love the fact that we're doing color.

ALL: Yes.

KORTO: Even though I'm wearing black, I know, but, you know, there's a lot of color now. There's texture. Like, getting that winter coat now, buy color. Let's embrace it, 'cause it brings out so much in tones of your skin and just brightens you up.

VANESSA: Yes. Yes.

KIM: Huh-uh.

KORTO: Yes, that is so hot. I love it.

WOMAN: Exactly.

KORTO: Beautiful.

VANESSA: And it brings the sun into the winter months.

KORTO: It does. It's like your happy moment. Like, yellow's my happy color. So buy a yellow coat. Why not? You have to put it on every single day, so why make it frumpy? Get a fitted coat, belt it up, accessorize it, and make it funky.

VANESSA: Yes, I love accentuating the waist.

KORTO: Yes.

VANESSA: Korto, what are we gonna see in terms of what the models that you've brought here today? What are we gonna see?

KORTO: Lots of sass. There's some color in there. You're gonna see my version of what I would love to wear as a statement winter coat. Um, lots of sequins, just to show, if you want to go out for evening, a different take on evening.

KIM: Hmm.

KORTO: And just, you know, something really cute, different. You know. From my eyes. Fashion from my eyes.

[LAUGHTER]

KIM: So one of our friends from our Facebook community has a question for you. Chante from Washington, D.C. Wrote, "I love the way I feel in my chinchilla vest. What are some of the other hot fur fashions this winter?"

KORTO: Well, definitely I would say go for faux fur. You know, chinchilla's great. It feels wonderful. But, at the same time, maybe kind of have that guilt about wearing it. Faux fur has come a long way.

ALESHA: Yes.

KIM: Hmm.

KORTO: You can get a lot of great pieces from, like, handbags to shoes. Embrace it and just kind of check it out. I think, you know, if people kind of give it a chance, they'll feel it and actually start rocking it a little bit more.

KIM: Okay.

ALESHA: With that said, Korto's latest runway project is coming up, and, for the very first time, we are revealing the new, just-selected faces of My Black Is Beautiful model search.

KIM: But up next, the hairstyles and makeup trends you won't be able to resist.

VANESSA: And our celebrity style team breaks down winter's most essential accessories when we return.

SINGER: Beautiful, ohh, beautiful to me. Oh, yeah.

[COMMERCIAL BREAK]

[MUSIC]

WOMAN: I never back down from a challenge. My mom always taught me to be strong, optimistic, and confident.

WOMAN: I'm confident when the spotlight is on me, because I know I can deliver.

WOMAN: I love being in the spotlight. When I'm strong, I sparkle. And I never let them see me sweat.

SINGER: Ohh, beautiful to me. Ohh, yeah.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

VANESSA: Welcome back to My Black Is Beautiful. Fashion designer Korto Momolu is with us today. But first our My Black Is Beautiful style team is showing us the must-have accessories, makeup, and hairstyles for winter.

DR. BOOGIE: So being well-prepared for winter starts with a great hairstyle. You can braid it up, unloosen those braids, rock it, and let it be free. You can even do the roller set. Make it flat, make it big, as much volume as you want. You can do the two-strand twist. You could twist 'em up and wear 'em in tons of styles. You could put cornrows in it in any style, any pattern that you like. One thing you can do with cornrows, you can wear them any way you want by letting some of the hair be free. You could rock your cornrows to the side. You could wear your hair standing straight up. Plenty of options. So all hair is beautiful, whether your hair is relaxed or natural, but what's most important is that your black is beautiful.

ALESHA: Thank you so much, Dr. Boogie. And now celebrity makeup expert Toni Acey can't wait to show us a new trend that will make our eyes irresistible.

TONI: All right, ladies, the latest look for your eyes this winter is all about the liquid liner. Liquid liner will provide a more bold and defined line to your eyes, giving it that cat eye effect. We've already applied her foundation, and it is looking flawless. The eye shadow is done. Now we're ready to lay that liquid liner. All right, ladies, when you're applying your liquid liner, you want to start at the inner corner of your eye, drawing your line as close to the lash line as possible. And get wider at the edge. And if you add that wingtip on the end, you'll be right on point with the trend. Daphne, your eyes are looking like reow, girl. All right, ladies, back to you.

KIM: Toni, that is an eye-catching look, but my eyes are on this fantastic spread in front of us. I hear that it's the latest must-have accessories for winter, which means that our celebrity style expert Miss Jennifer Austin has come bearing gifts for her favorite hosts, right, Jennifer?

JENNIFER: Mm...maybe a little bit later, but let's talk about what I have here first.

KIM: Okay, good, so first you have an It bag for the season.

JENNIFER: Yes, the It bag. This season, the metallics are really big, and the hobo bag has come back, but we're all about the exotic skins, so we're all about the python and the snakes and the embossed leathers. And also the clutch is coming back...

KIM: Ah.

JENNIFER: ...so for all you ladies that like a little bitty purse, the clutch is back for us.

WOMAN: I love it. Big way.

[OVERLAPPING STATEMENTS]

ALESHA: But what about these? These gloves right here. Fancy.

JENNIFER: Yes, they are. Remember, gloves used to be the thing at one time, then all of a sudden we got away from them. So now they're bringing 'em back and then they have studs and zippers, and they're making them a little bit more funky and fun for us to play with for the winter season.

ALESHA: Speaking of studs, these booties are very festive.

JENNIFER: The bootie—the bootie will never leave us alone. But now they're playing with them a lot more now, so we have the triple platforms in them. We have furs, we have different skins, but the studded ones are bringing the military from the spring into our fall and winter season.

ALESHA: Can we wear them with jeans as well as with dresses and stuff?

JENNIFER: Definitely. Definitely. That's what's great about the bootie, because sometimes you want to show a little bit more leg, and then sometimes the thigh-high boots or the higher boots cut you off, where the bootie gives you that long silhouette that you need with your dress.

VANESSA: And it's tapered to the leg, so you can work the dress.

JENNIFER: Always, always. 'Cause that's the most important part.

[LAUGHTER]

VANESSA: I like to work my "Bootie" as much as I can, you know what I'm saying?

ALESHA: Oh, pun intended.

VANESSA: Okay, hello. And what about this?

JENNIFER: Well, the quilted bag is coming back to us this season, and we're getting them in leathers, but also in the patent leather is coming back. And what's great about this bag, 'cause it's so versatile, you could take it to the office, put it in with your laptop, all your files, and it's a great little carry-all. Yes.

KIM: Nice.

JENNIFER: For those weekend trips away for when you work so hard for the week.

KIM: Yes.

ALESHA: So can I have—I can have these, right? Uh-huh.

VANESSA: I want this and this.

JENNIFER: Why—I'm coming to show you guys the new things. Why are you trying to take my...

ALESHA: You showed...

[OVERLAPPING CHATTER]

VANESSA: And we must have them.

ALESHA: And then have.

VANESSA: Thank you oh-so much.

ALESHA: Thank you very much. All right, we just might have the most amazing style team on television. Thank you so much to Toni Acey, Dr. Boogie, and of course Jennifer Austin.

[LAUGHTER]

ALESHA: Coming up next, the fresh new faces representing My Black Is Beautiful. They're ready for their close-ups, and we cannot wait. But now let's catch up with our lifestyle expert on the east coast, Tracey Ferguson, with The Jones Report.

TRACEY: Hey, ladies, it's Tracey Ferguson in New York City, and have I got three great shoe trends for you this season. First up, my favorite. Animal prints. It's a shoe boot, and it's a wedge. I absolutely love this. It's on trend. It's comfortable, more comfortable than it actually looks. Second one, one of my favorites, is the platform. It's fantastic, because it has a five-inch heel, but you lose about an inch because of the platform. It's much more comfortable than it looks. My favorite of all time however is this red ruby little jewel. It's got about six inches in the heel, and it's killer to wear, literally, but you cannot find a more glamorous shoe than this particular one, in my personal opinion. Those three trends, this season, and you are one hot, smoking mama.

[COMMERCIAL BREAK]

[MUSIC]

WOMAN: When people see my bright, white smile, I want them to think that the world is a happy place.

WOMAN: I want them to think, "There goes that vibrant, intelligent woman who knows exactly what she wants."

WOMAN: My smile is my best accessory. I take it with me wherever I go.

SINGER: Ohh, beautiful to me. Oh, yeah.

[APPLAUSE]

VANESSA: Welcome back to the My Black Is Beautiful fashion finale. And what better way to close out our season than with a much-anticipated reveal of our nationwide search for the new faces of My Black Is Beautiful? Let's take a look at their journey.

[MUSIC]

ANNOUNCER: The competition for our first nationwide model search was fierce. Our journey made stops in Atlanta, then Houston, and finally New York City.

PAMELA: They brought all the style, the flair, all of it.

ANNOUNCER: The diverse beauty of African-American women was utterly clear and undeniable.

KISHA: These women came out to get their shine on, and shine on is what they did.

ANNOUNCER: But only six would stand out and declare their black beautiful before a live studio audience in Hollywood plus become the newest faces for our movement. Now that our search is over, the next chapter of beauty, heart, and determination begins right now.

[APPLAUSE]

KIM: And here with us today to announce the six new faces are two women who helped propel the My Black Is Beautiful movement forward. Please welcome Procter & Gamble's multicultural marketing team, the fabulous Kisha Mitchell Williams and Pamela Rhett.

[APPLAUSE]

WOMAN: Whoo!

VANESSA: Don't you look lovely?

[OVERLAPPING CHATTER]

KIM: This is very exciting.

VANESSA: Wow, you look radiant in your black-is-beautiful little beige and emerald.

ALESHA: Of course thank you, ladies, so much for having us and allowing us to be part of the third season of My Black Is Beautiful. Extremely exciting yet again.

[APPLAUSE]

KISHA: Absolutely.

ALESHA: It's always a pleasure to be here with you ladies. I guess just our first question would be, how are you ladies expanding the My Black Is Beautiful brand?

PAMELA: We've done some tremendous things this year. We launched Facebook, where we have more and more fans every day. We have a Twitter page—@mbibmovement. And we just launched a theme song contest where we're putting the movement to music, so some very exciting things.

KISHA: And this year we really wanted to go out and find women that embody and embrace My Black Is Beautiful in a real substantive way. We wanted some faces. So Pamela and I and our team, we went to three different cities. We went to Atlanta, Houston, and New York, and the women came out in droves and represented.

ALESHA: Especially in Houston.

KISHA: Everywhere in Houston.

[LAUGHTER]

VANESSA: Exactly. That must have been so challenging to choose.

KISHA: It was so difficult to narrow it down to six final faces. But I tell you, these women have charm and grace and poise and energy and pizzazz. And I just can't wait to bring 'em out and announce 'em.

PAMELA: We can't wait...

VANESSA: Let's bring those special ladies out.

PAMELA: Introducing the six new faces of the My Black Is Beautiful movement. Keisha Hall.

[APPLAUSE]

KEISHA: Hi, I'm from Atlanta, and my black is radiant.

[APPLAUSE]

PAMELA: Tiana Griggs.

[APPLAUSE]

TIANA: Hi, I'm from Atlanta, and my black is confident.

[APPLAUSE]

PAMELA: Sandra Wyckoff.

SANDRA: Hi, I'm from Houston, and my black is legendary.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

DOMINIQUE: Hi, I'm from Houston, and my black is brilliant.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

PAMELA: Tiffany Dixon.

[APPLAUSE]

TIFFANY: Hi, I'm from New York, and my black is bold.

[APPLAUSE]

PAMELA: And last but not least is Yvette Coleman.

[APPLAUSE]

YVETTE: Hi, I'm from New York, and my black is beautiful.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

KIM: So, Tiffany, what does it mean to you to be one of the new faces of My Black Is Beautiful?

TIFFANY: I wanted to address the issues of low self-worth in our community. So it's a great honor to me to be a part of My Black Is Beautiful.

ALESHA: Yes. Yes.

[APPLAUSE]

[INDISTINCT CHATTER]

VANESSA: Now, Tiana, you said that my black is confident. What exactly did you mean by that?

TIANA: My black is confident because I love the skin that I'm in. Every morning, I get dressed. Confidence is always my very first accessory.

VANESSA: I love that.

TIANA: Yeah. Holla.

[LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE]

KIM: I think we should all live by that and put our confidence on first. Wonderful. Congratulations to all of you and thanks so much for sharing your experiences with us. We'll be watching you and cheering you on along the way. We really will. When we come back, Korto Momolu fires up the My Black Is Beautiful Runway with her perfect winter looks. You don't want to miss it. Confidently.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
